Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Shivam More, trading as YourSOV ("we", "us"), handles personal data when you visit yoursov.com or use our Service. We are the controller of that data.

What we collect

Account data: name, email address, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider), timezone, workspace names and team memberships.
Data you add: brands, keywords, ASINs, settings and tags. This is business data; it usually contains no personal data.
Billing data: handled by Paddle, our reseller and merchant of record. We receive your Paddle customer and subscription IDs, plan, status and billing country. We never see or store full card numbers.
Usage and technical data: log data such as IP address, browser, pages used and error reports (stored in our own database, not sent to a third-party error tracker), kept for security and to fix problems.
Website visits: on our public pages we count page views without cookies. We record the page, the referring website, campaign tags, country and device type, plus a visitor code made from a one-way hash of your IP address and browser that changes every day — so we can count visitors but cannot recognise you across days. We never store the IP address itself. We skip this if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.
Free visibility check: the brand and keyword you enter, a hashed IP address to apply the daily limit, and your email if you choose to give it (used only to send you that report).
Emails and contact-form messages you send us, and our replies.

The Amazon pages we sample are public search results and product listings. We store product, brand and ad information from them, not information about shoppers.

How we use it

to provide the Service: accounts, tracking, dashboards, reports and alerts (contract);
to send service emails such as sign-up confirmation, billing notices and product updates (contract / legitimate interest);
to keep the Service secure, prevent abuse and fix errors (legitimate interest);
to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations (legal obligation).

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising. Business contacts may receive occasional emails about YourSOV; every such email has an unsubscribe link.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies: to keep you signed in and to remember your active workspace. Our website analytics use no cookies. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, so we don't show a cookie banner. Paddle sets its own cookies during checkout to process payments and prevent fraud.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf, only as needed to run the Service:

Supabase (authentication, database, and the relay that sends our outreach emails)
Railway (application hosting)
Cloudflare (DNS, network security and bot protection on public forms)
Resend and Hostinger (email delivery)
Paddle (checkout, payments, invoicing and tax, as merchant of record)
Bright Data (collecting public Amazon pages and public web search results; no customer personal data is sent)
GitHub (source code and encrypted nightly database backups)

These providers may store data outside your country, including in the United States, the EU and India, with safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where required. We may also disclose data if the law requires it or to protect our rights, users or the public.

How long we keep it

We keep account data while your account is open. After you delete your account we delete or anonymise personal data within 90 days, except records we must keep for legal, tax or accounting reasons (Paddle keeps its own billing records). Server logs are kept for up to 30 days, website page-view records for up to 13 months, and free visibility check records for up to 12 months.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act or US state laws such as the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can change your name, email and password, and delete your account and all its data yourself, under Account settings in the app. For anything else, email team@yoursov.com and we will reply within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Business contacts we email

To tell Amazon brands about YourSOV, we may email the founders or owners of those businesses. We collect only business contact details — name, role, company and business email address — from public sources such as company websites, Amazon storefronts and search results, and we may run a short public visibility scan of the brand to make the email relevant. Our basis is legitimate interest in business-to-business marketing. Every such email identifies us, includes our postal address and has a one-click unsubscribe link; once you unsubscribe or ask us to stop, we add your address to a do-not-email list and never contact you again. We keep prospect records for up to 24 months after our last contact, or delete them sooner on request.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access is limited to what is needed to run the Service, and secrets are kept server-side. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal data we will notify you as the law requires.

Children

The Service is for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect children's data.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy we will tell you by email or in the app before they take effect.
